**** New Pool Cards

Dear Homeowners,

By now, you should all have received new pool cards.

If you have any issues please e-mail hoa@shilohfarmshoa.org or you can call Judy during the week at (678) 665 -3965

Thank you for your understanding and patience!

The Shiloh Farms Pool officially opens May 4th! Here's a few things to take note of:

NEW CHAISE LOUNGES & MORE TABLES
You'll notice that we have new chaise lounges this year. We've also added two additional tables for a total of 14. We thank Cindy Lyall for all the time and effort that she's put into making sure that our pool looks great: from overseeing that the new furniture was ordered and delivered in time to spending her time to choose, buy and plant our flowers around our pool. Thank you Cindy!!

NEW GATE ACCESS SYSTEM
We had a major circuit-board crash with our old clubhouse & pool gate access system. As a result, we have installed a new gate access system. All of our existing key cards have been migrated to the new system so your card should work normally.

In the process of migrating the users, the new security company noticed that a number of key cards did not have names associated with them in the old system. Those key cards were deactivated. If your key card does not work to open the gate, it might be that it is because no name was associated with it in the old system. If your card should not work, please call Judy at (678) 665 - 3965. Judy has an updated list of all homeowners and can re-enable your card.

As a improvement, we have wired up the key fob system to the back gate of the pool. This provides a new point of entry and exit. At the moment, there is no cement or cobblestone walkway leading to the pool gate on the back entrance. If, we notice that the back entrance is getting significant use, we'll improve the path leading up to it from the sidewalk.

PLEASE KEEP GATE CLOSED
The new gate access system has an open-gate alarm feature built into it. The alarm will sound if the gate is left open for a period of time. Please keep the gate closed at all times.

PLEASE HELP KEEP NON-MEMBERS OUT
Keep the pool gate closed at all times. Strangers are becoming more brazen in coming to use our amenities. We noticed last year that some people (whether members or not) were using sticks to reach in and open the pool gate from the inside by clicking the exit button. We've installed more difficult to defeat exit buttons. If you see anybody attempting to defeat the system or jumping the fence, please call HMS and we'll have the police come out and investigate. Unauthorized pool users crowd our pool and make it more difficult for those of us who pay for our amenities to enjoy. Pool use is only for members in good standing of Shiloh Farms Homeowners' Association or Stoneview Homeowners' Association. Four guests per household are allowed and all guests must be accompanied at all times by a member. If you witness any vandalism or feel unsafe at any time, call 911. Our pool is not monitored.

We will prosecute and remove all trespassers.

READ ALL POOL RULES
Please read all posted pool rules. Special Notes:

POOL PARTY - Saturday May 19th 11am - 1pm
The annual pool party is scheduled for May 19th!

Please help us keep our amenities safe
With our broader community maturing and our amenities in very high demand, some people will not hesitate to steal the use of the amenities that we have worked very hard to build and maintain.

1) Please make sure that the pool gate remains closed at all times (this helps keep unsupervised children from endangering themselves by entering the pool area and also keeps strangers from illegally entering the pool)

2) Please do not allow people to piggyback into the pool.  That person might be a stranger intent on stealing the use of our amenities or intent on theft or other criminal activity.

3) If you see strangers playing tennis or using the playground, feel free to do the neighborly thing and introduce yourselves - ask them what part of Shiloh they live in.  I always feel safer when I know that the person standing next to me is not a stranger but my neighbor from up the hill.  If they turn out not to be from Shiloh,  you can tell them that this is private property (if you feel comfortable making that statement) or you can call the police or a board member to help you handle the situation.

If at any point you feel unsafe or threatened by the presence of a stranger, try to remove yourself from danger by leaving and dialing 911.  Please only do what you feel safe doing.
